On June 17, a team of partners from Shanghai BillionsLawyer LLP paid a visit to the Law School of East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) to hold discussions and exchanges on deepening cooperation and collaborative talent cultivation. Wang Huiwen, Dean of the ECUST Law School, and Zhou Dengliang, Vice Dean, gave a warm reception to the visitors. Both sides had in-depth discussions on joint practical training, resource sharing, joint talent development and distinctive cooperation initiatives. The exchange forum was presided over by Dean Wang Huiwen.
At the forum, Attorney Zhang Xu introduced the general profile of Shanghai BillionsLawyer LLP. Dean Wang Huiwen extended a warm welcome to the partner team of Shanghai BillionsLawyer LLP and introduced the school-running history and disciplinary characteristics of the ECUST Law School. Vice Dean Zhou Dengliang gave a systematic overview of the Law School’s external exchange and cooperation programs. He proposed that both sides could take joint talent training as the core starting point to sustain long-term featured cooperation in scientific research, disciplinary competitions and practical projects, jointly explore niche academic fields and achieve mutual support and common progress.
During the free exchange session, both parties exchanged views on business expansion, project cooperation, talent training, career guidance and educational donation. They reached a consensus that the two sides could fully integrate practical experience and academic resources: the Law School could provide think tank support for the firm’s legal practice, while the firm would facilitate integrated theoretical-and-practical training for law students, realizing two-way empowerment and mutual growth.
2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the ECUST Law School. This exchange has laid a solid foundation for future bilateral cooperation.
